Over the years my art has evolved both in choice of subject matter and in style. It has been my hope that this evolution reflects my growth as an artist.
This year as I prepare for various art shows and exhibits, I am also making changes in some of the framing on my work. Recent associations with galleries have prompted me to upgrade the framing for a new, more elegant look. As I make the gradual transition away from outdoor shows, I will continue to frame some pieces much as I have in the past few years and pricing for those paintings will remain near recent levels.
Other paintings will be framed in larger, premium mouldings often with hand-wrapped fabric mats, fillets and museum glass. Although the size of images will be similar to those I've done these last few years, prices will reflect the increased cost of framing materials and labor.
Prices will be consistent regardless of where an individual painting is offered for sale.
This is an exciting transition time for me as an artist, and I hope my work and its presentation will continue to gain increased respect and appreciation. I hope to see many of you at shows and exhibits in 2010 and look forward to hearing your reaction to the 'new look'!
